Nurse Spotlight: Kim Jenkins

Kim-JenkinsKim is a long time employee of Pella Regional, going on 27 years in various departments including nursing home, medical/surgical and obstetrics. The last few years she found a home in the medical clinics, now at Medical Clinic in Monroe.

She originally wanted to be a doctor but realized she wanted to be more hands-on as a caregiver. Kim finds medicine intriguing. “The human body is a complex thing and something that you can never fully understand. It’s fascinating,” said Kim.

Kim enjoys working with her patients to help them achieve their goals and establish better health. “In the medical clinic, I get to see all ages and it is fun to have that variety. Building those relationships is wonderful,” shared Kim.

Pella Regional is close to home for Kim and she is drawn to the mission of Christian compassion. She loves that she still works with people she worked with years ago. “It’s amazing the changes the hospital has gone through over the years I’ve worked here,” said Kim. “I love that Pella Regional can stay small and intimate but still be progressive.”
