Nurse Spotlight: Emergency with Ann Mills

Nurse-Spotlight-AnnAnother day of Nurse Week with another great nurse from Emergency!

Ann graduated from nursing school in 1992 and found that nursing was a great career to go into, especially since she had a drive to help people. Ann has found that the flexible schedule of a nurse has worked well for her throughout her career.

“I enjoy the patient interaction of being a nurse. I enjoy the challenge of learning the science behind dealing with patients and the best approaches to help them,” shared Ann. “I love working in Emergency. I had worked in other areas but had a desire to get more involved with acutely ill and injured patients.”

Ann has worked in other hospitals and believes Pella Regional is a special place. “It’s a community you can feel part of. My director is excellent and the physicians listen and value my opinion,” said Ann. “Pella Regional has been a place where I have been able to grow professionally and personally. It is interesting, exciting and challenging to be part of a growing organization.”

Next week isn’t Nurse Week anymore, but I still have a few more nurses to spotlight, so be sure to check it out!
